Joy Come In The Morning

I am sorry for not posting my blog for the last several days. It has been a whirlwind of activity since the death of Danny Gans. The Church at South Las Vegas has responded in a great way with prayers and support for the family. They so appreciate more than anything else the prayers of all the Christ Followers.

The scripture found in Psalm 30:5 states that weeping may endure for a night but joy comes in the morning really speaks to me. Seeing families go through loss is something that one must endure. It is never easy to lose anyone but a close family member is such a tragic loss for us but an addition to heaven. It is during the times of enduring that we can count on the Joy that will eventually come in the morning.

Joy will eventually come out of the mourning as we keep our eyes on the one who gives us the joy and his name is JESUS. Jesus is the one who is the lifter of our soul when we don't know what to do. As we focus our loss on Jesus and cry out to him and allow ourselves to go through the valley of death is when we will come out on the other side with Joy.

So it may be night time for some of us but the Son will rise soon in our lives to chase the darkness away with His incredible light.

Life of a Pastor,

Benny Perez

The loss of Danny Gans has helped me to again realize how we take things for granted and everyday is a blessing.

I needed to read these words today my dear Pastor. On May 27 my nephew will have been home for a year. I cannot say he died or that he passed, just simply that he went home. He chose to take his own life at 22 and as a family we were devastated. I miss him very much, but I have joy that he has no more pain because he is with his father. I encourage everyone to take time to "check-in" with family and friends. Our days are busy, but we must remember the chat or the visit we intended to have today may not be available tomorrow. Thanks to your encouraging words... my joy has cometh this morning.
