In The Woods

I want to write a brief note on what is happening in Tiger Wood's life. I would ask the church and Christ followers to pray for him and his family. Let us not be so quick to judge and throw stones at a man who desperately needs the love of Jesus and grace to come into his life.

My prayer is that God would have someone speak to and minister to him during this time. I am reminded that except it be for the Grace of God in my life, where would I be. This is the time for us to be Christian in response and actions.

I want to be clear that what he has done is wrong by his own admission, but we have to be able to respond rightly to a wrong situation. I pray Holy Spirit activity in all of our lives as well as Tiger Wood's life!

Life of a Pastor,

Benny Perez

Many men and women are tricked today with believing that extreme success, money, power and influence will bring a form of happiness. But many of those people are NOT happy, and they start to think that maybe sex would fill that void. I know this for a fact, not just in my OWN life but for men that would call the escort services to buy sex during prominent business conventions in Las Vegas years ago. MANY rich men would call escort services that had extreme success like Tiger, and I would always be curious and ask them..."If you have everything you have ever wanted, then WHY are you calling ME?" Often times they would be in a state of depression. sharing with me that everything that they have accumulated had taken a toll on their social life, married life, and family. They had lost the very people that truly loved them because they were workaholics, and the only way they could comfort themselves was to call an outcall service for company. Not only would they call once, but every time that they came in town for business. It became an addiction and a temporary answer to their pain.

This is a proven point that power, influence and money DO NOT buy true happiness. And maybe this is an opportunity for Tiger to realize this, and know that only God can truly fill the void in his heart. We cannot judge Tiger--for we do not know his pain, what he has lost or what he was looking to gain as he sought relationships with these women. Like pastor Benny says, we need to pray for him, his family...and everyone involved in this situation. Hopefully it will bring everyone to their knees (like it did in my life lived so long ago!) and it is a wake up call to influence Tiger to look over his life and finally make a change for the better:)

Thank you Pastor Benny for being transparent and being such an amazing and positive influence in my life!

FYI for those of you who are wondering about WHO I am and why I was sharing about my past...

Know this: I am NO LONGER a prostitute/escort/human sex trafficked slave but an OVERCOMER and because of the love of Jesus I got set free years ago! (www.hookersforjesus.net

Pastor Benny and Wendy have beautiful hearts for the women caught in the human sex trade, and have a house that they have partnered with us called The Destiny House. A beautiful place for ANY teen/woman that wants to leave their lifestyle of slavery and start brand new!

Please continue to give to our church, because they are truly GIVING back to these beautiful women and helping restore women who others consider trash. THANK YOU PASTOR BENNY & WENDY! We love you and are so proud to be part of The Church At South Las Vegas!

Hey Pastor Benny,

I have been praying for him and his family. It breaks my heartto think that there are kids who find out the hard way about the press and how merciless they are. My prayer is that God would make away that one full of the Holy spirit would come and minister life to him! That he would find grace and mercy and forgiveness!

I also pray that this would be the time when as you said, the church would be quick to show grace, mercy and forgiveness! Along with that I pray that as the body of Christ, we would begin to understand the need of mankind is to be celebrated!!! Not the counterfiet the enemy produces which is celebrity! God created us in His image and likeness, to experience the giftings, talents & abilities that He placed within us to show of His glory in us! When we operate in His strength and power, we can truly be celebrated. Not for our glory but for His. We become the vessel of honor!

I truly appreciate your sensitivity and sincerity in this trying time of Tigers life. As a man of God you're setting your great example!
God Bless
Bobby

I wholeheartedly agree, Pastor Benny! While we as Christians should show true, Christ-inspired grace and empathy, I also think that in this whole Tiger Woods fiasco is a lesson... The LVCVB's slogan "What Happens in Vegas, Stays in Vegas", is a lie of the enemy. How many of stories similar to Tiger's have happened, but fallen upon deaf ears, only because the players in these "little" dramas lacked the media coverage and vulture-like attention span that seems to be so evident in Tiger Woods's case, as well as the celebrity elite, as a whole. People feed into this mistaken notion that Vegas is a safe-haven for people who want to get their "itches scratched"...and their mariages and families pay the price. I think that the LVCVB needs to change their slogan to "What Happens in Vegas Will Find its way Home"...
