Hey Pastor Stovall,

My husband and I are new members to your church, and I love it by the way! We drive and hour and a half from Keystone Heights to be there every Sunday. The first Sunday we went and I heard Benny Perez would be preaching I about fell out of my chair with excitement. Let me tell you about my experience with Pastor Benny.

Five years ago when I was 16 I was a cutter, extremely depressed and honestly didn’t want to live anymore. I was at a Branded by Fire conference in a stadium in Pensacola with about 5,000 other teenagers and Pastor Benny preached that night. I remember being in a sea of thousands of teens at the alter begging God if He even cared about me or knew I was still here broken hearted I needed a sign, I didn’t want to live anymore.

At that moment, Pastor Benny said “Wherever Amelia is I need her to make her way to the stage! I’ve been praying for you all the way here”. I ran to the stage bawling and he prayed for exactly what my heart had been breaking about. Thousands of people….and God proved through Pastor Benny that he really did care about me and knew me by name. Since that day I have NEVER cut myself or had another suicidal thought. I still get choked up telling the story, it was life changing! I’ve never been the same since, and of course never had a doubt about the existance of God.

I wanted to officially meet Pastor Benny Friday night but never got the chance. So at least one member of your congregation is familiar with Pastor Benny calling people out lol. If you wouldn’t mind sharing my story with him if you think he’d be interested, I’d appreciate it. I think it’s encouraging with all the negativity to hear about how God used you to completely change someones life. Thanks, =]

Since the conclusion of the 21 day fast we started in January, there has been a shift in the atmosphere of our church and community.  Many in our local church and friends around the world have shared that God has renewed their vision, perspective, energy, and focus!  You can sense the level of God’s manifest presence in our weekend experiences rising, along with the expectation for God to move among the people.  This last weekend after sharing part 3 in the moving forward series on “High Praise,” there was a praise outbreak!  People continued in praise and worship long after the conclusion of some of our worship experiences.

Your Confession today:  I Am God’s Temple.

I Corinthians 3:16 “Don’t you realize that all of you together are the Temple of God and that the Spirit of God lives in you?” NLT

The Lord could have chosen to have His Presence remain in a temple, like in the Old Testament, but He has chosen to now have His Presence live in you. The Bible declares that you are now the Temple of the Holy Spirit!

The Power of God Himself lives in you. No longer do you have to search outwardly for God, because He now lives in you. Jesus said that the Holy Spirit will not only be with you, but would be inside of you. The Holy Spirit would now be your guide and write the commandments of God on your heart!

Your Significance is based on your relationship with Jesus, by the Holy Spirit. God does not look down on you, but rather, has lifted you up by placing His Spirit within you. You are now the Temple of God that is being made more into the Image of Jesus. Purity and Holiness come by realizing you are made Holy because of the Holy Spirit, who is living in you. The Holy Spirit is sanctifying you and changing you to be more like Jesus.

You can rest today knowing that as God’s Temple, He will complete the work He has started in you.

Say this out loud:  I Am God’s Temple.

Pray this prayer: “Father, I thank You for making me Your temple. Thank You Holy Spirit that You live in me and are guiding me. This will be a great year because of who lives in me. I will not rely on the outside to make me whole, but I will look at who is in me to live whole. Thank You, Lord! I pray this in Jesus, Name. Amen.”

Your Confession today:  I Am A Personal Witness Of Christ.

Acts 1:8: “But you will receive Power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere – in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” NLT

You have received Power from the Holy Spirit. You are not some person trying to make it in this life. Don’t believe the lie that you still need something more to make it. No- you were given Power when the Holy Spirit came upon you.

The word ‘Power’ comes from the Greek word Dunamis. This means power which overcomes resistance. Jesus did not leave you with just enough strength.  Rather, He gave you more than enough strength. You have been given supernatural power by the Holy Spirit to accomplish all that you need to do.

You have the Power to go out and live your life as a witness to the Power of God inside of you. Your life is telling people around you that there is something different on the inside of you. Jesus said we are to go out and be His Witnesses!

He has called you and empowered you to go out into the World for Him.

Say this out loud:  I Am A Personal Witness of Christ.

Pray this prayer: “Father, I thank You for the Power of the Holy Spirit that has been given to me. I will be your witness to those around me of Jesus, living inside of me. I have more than enough Power to overcome and witness to the life of Jesus in me. I pray this in Jesus’ Name. Amen.”

Day 19

Today we want to begin with replacing the thought “ I Am Not Significant,” with the thought “I AM Significant Because of Jesus!”

Your Confession today: I Am Chosen And Appointed To Bear Fruit.

John 15:16 “You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the Father in My Name He may give you.” NKJV

You did not choose Jesus, but rather He chose you. God did not choose you based on your worth or value. Rather Jesus chose you because of His Great Love for you. You have been chosen, not because you earned it or deserved it, but because Jesus wanted to show you His Great Grace, Love and Mercy.

Jesus tells you today that you are Chosen and Appointed to go and bear fruit. Your life is tied to Jesus to go out and make a difference in the lives of those around you. You’re on the greatest mission, sent out by God Himself, to share His love to all those around you.

So it does not matter who accepts you or chooses you. You have been chosen by Jesus and that makes you Valuable, Accepted, Loved and Significant.

Say this out loud: I Am Chosen And Appointed To Bear Fruit.

Pray this prayer: “Father, I thank You that I have been chosen and appointed to bear fruit. I will live out today knowing I am accepted, loved and significant because of Jesus. I pray this in Jesus’ Name. Amen.”

Day 18

Today we want to replace the thought “ I Am Not Significant,” with the thought “I AM Significant Because of Jesus!”

Your Confession today:  I Am A Branch Of The True Vine – A Channel Of His Life!

John 15: 1, 5 “I Am the true vine, and my Father is the vinedresser. I Am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, And I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me, you can do nothing.” NKJV

You are a branch connected to the True Vine. Jesus has connected you to Himself by His Wonderful Grace. Your life comes from Him and you are nourished by Jesus, through His Word and His Spirit.

Your value is tied to who you are connected to. Jesus makes it clear that He is THE Source of all that you need. Your significance is tied to Jesus and all that He has done for you. Jesus invites you to be in relationship with Him and bear fruit.

What is fruit? It is an outward sign of an inward reality. You know that an apple tree is an apple tree because of the fruit.  Sooner or later, apples will begin to grow from the tree. Today, you are in Christ and His fruit will show through you.

You cannot accomplish this without Christ. Jesus said that without Him, you are nothing. So, conversely, with Him, you are Significant and Valuable. Your life counts today. Live out today as an extension (branch) of God’s Grace, and bear fruit.

Say this out loud:  I Am A Branch Connected To The True Vine.

Pray this prayer: “Father, thank You for connecting me to Jesus. Thank You that You are working in me and changing me to bear more fruit. Today, let me be an extension to someone around me. Thank You that I can do all things because I am connected to Jesus. I pray this in Jesus’ Name. Amen.”

Day 17

Today we want to replace the thought “ I Am Not Significant,” by Renewing Our Minds with the thought “I AM Significant Because of Jesus!”

Your Confession today: I Am The Salt And The Light Of The Earth.

Matthew 5:13-14: “You are the salt of the earth. But what good is salt if it has lost its flavor? Can you make it salty again? It will be thrown out and trampled underfoot as worthless. You are the light of the world – like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden.” 

Jesus declares that you are the salt of the earth. You are the difference maker in this world. He has chosen you to go out and change the world around you. You are not just taking up space on the planet. Rather, you are here by Divine Appointment to stop the decay around you.

God has chosen you to brightly shine His light into a dark world. You can walk into your family and job today, and bring the light of God’s Love and Hope to those around you. Don’t settle for the thought that you are not making a difference. No, you are God’s Light and Salt to a dark and decaying world.

Your significance is not found in what you do, but who you are!  You are a Child of God called by Jesus, Himself, to show the world who He Is. This is your day to shine brightly for Jesus.

Recently, I had an opportunity to bring the light of hope to a man named Bill. I was prompted to bless him with a $100 tip for washing my car. You should have seen his face light up as I gave him the tip and told him the Lord wanted to bless him! Bill’s life was not only changed, but my life was changed as well.

This is your day to live out your Significance.

Say this out loud I Am A Difference Maker Today.

Pray this prayer “Father, thank You for making me the Salt and Light to those around me. I have been placed here to make a difference in the lives around me. I will not settle for living life down and out. I know I am significant because Jesus has declared me to be. Today, use me to light up someone’s world. I pray this in Jesus’ Name. Amen.”

Today, we want to replace the thought “I Am Not Secure” by Renewing Our Minds with the thought “I AM SECURE Because of Jesus!”

Your Confession Today: I Have Not Been Given A Spirit of Fear.

2 Timothy 1:7 “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.” NKJV

Do you wonder where that fear comes from? The fear that keeps you from experiencing the life that, as a Christian, you should be experiencing. The fear of failure that keeps you from stepping out to try new things?

My friends, the Bible tells you that God has not given you a spirit of fear. It is not the Lord who is speaking fear into your heart and life. In fact, if God has not given it to you then it may be coming from the enemy or from your own thoughts.

Today is the day to rise up and declare that God has not given you an attitude of fear. If God did not give it to you, then you don’t have to receive it!  You are secure in Jesus and fear does not have power over you.

God has not given you fear, but rather Power, Love and a Sound Mind! You are secure in Christ to live a life of victory and to walk boldly and confidently. You have Power, Love and a Sound Mind, freely given to you because of Jesus! Resist the fear of the enemy right now IN JESUS NAME.

Say this out loud: I Have Been Given Power, Love And A Sound Mind!

Pray this prayer: “Father, I thank You for giving me a Spirit of Power, Love and of a Sound Mind. I don’t receive the spirit of fear that leads to torment. Rather, I walk in Your Love that casts out all fear! Thank You that today I will rest in Your Power and have a Right Mind. I pray this in Jesus’ Name. Amen.”

Today, we are replacing the thought “I Am Not Secure,” by Renewing Our Minds with the thought “I AM SECURE Because of Jesus!”

Your Confession Today:  I Am A Citizen Of Heaven.

Philippians 3:20 “For our citizenship is in heaven, from which we also eagerly wait for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ.” 

You have your real citizenship in heaven. That means you have the rights that come along with being a citizen or Child of God. You will spend all of eternity in heaven, but you also can experience Heaven here on earth.

Jesus prayed that God’s Kingdom will come and His will be done on earth, as it is in heaven. Today, you can pray and believe for the same thing Jesus believed for. As a Citizen of Heaven, we have access to ALL of heaven’s resources.

I can be secure that my final resting place is not the grave, but a Place called Heaven.  Jesus Himself said He is preparing a place for you. He is getting your dwelling place ready in heaven.

Don’t’ wonder today about what lies beyond the grave. You can be secure and rest in the fact that Heaven is your Home. There will be no more pain, sickness, tears or death in heaven. Jesus will be the light for all eternity and we will be with him forever!

Until then, you can believe for more of heaven on earth.

Say this out loud - I Am A Citizen Of Heaven.

Pray this prayer “Father, I thank You that I am Citizen of Heaven. Thank You that I don’t have to fear death and that the grave is not my final destination. I believe You for more of heaven on earth. Thank You for Your Grace that is working in me and will take me all the way Home to Heaven. I pray this in Jesus’ Name. Amen.”
