I just finished coming back from preaching at The City Church in Seattle. I would encourage people to continue praying for my Father-n-Law Wendell Smith. As many know he is fighting the good fight of faith as he battles cancer.
As I was speaking in the second service, the Lord gave me a Rhema that we cannot be afraid of the valleys, because valleys are where great men and women of God are made. It is in the valleys, where we see great leadership exhibited. It is the valleys, where we see the anointing of God being released from our lives to accomplish great things.
Young David found himself going down into the valley of Elah in 1st Samuel 17 to fight a giant named Goliath. All of the Armies of Israel were positioned on the top of the hills and ran in fear when they heard the taunts of Goliath in the Valley. However, there was one who knew that the Lord was not only the God of the hilltops but the God of the Valleys. David went down into the valley knowing he would have to look up to the Lord. We know that the Lord gave him the victory even in the valley.
This week we will look into the Lord of the valley and see how we can have victory in our present valley experiences.
